PAX19 020302-020308 PAX 19 Log. After a fine first day (We obviously should have gone there a couple of days earlier...) the solar wind began blowing the stations away as a result of a coronal hole disturbance. Signals faded out over a two day period and then nothing at all from N A was heard for the rest of PAX19. All other solar and geomagnetic info indicating fine DX conditions!
PAX18 020223-020224 PAX 18 Log in part. One slow day and one with fair reception.
PAX17 020214-020220 PAX 17 Log. A couple of days with fair reception but most of the time only the dominants heard.
PAX16 020202-020203 PAX 16 Log. Taking up DX-ing after about 15 years of inactivity Anders, who lives less than two hours by car from Parkalompolo, went to Parka for a 24 hour expedition on his own and happened to do that on the probably best day of this winter season! Since he was not updated and familiar with conditions or the radio scene of today he naturally missed most of the "golden stations" probably heard by a more experienced listener. But he will always be remembered for being first in Europe to log KVTA Port Hueneme CA 1520! But 40 new ones in 24 hours indicate fine reception conditions!
PAX15 011227-020108 PAX 15 Log. Surprisingly fast recovery from the effects of the proton shock noted by PAX15 with a few NA:s already on Dec. 28th. But then a couple of new proton showers plus low A-index over a long period made recovery very slow meaning almost no signals from over the Atlantic. At least not from North America.
PAX14 011222-011227 PAX14 Log. Very interesting conditions first three and a half days but all died within minutes at sunrise Dec. 26th as a new proton shock arrived from the sun. We both had planned to stay ten more days but the prospects were not too good hearing anything so BOS returned home on December 26th and RFK on the 27th.
PAX13 011201-011213 PAX13 Log. North American signals most days but mostly same stations day after day. December 3rd was fine.
PAX12 011020-011105 PAX12 Log.
19-24.10 Nothing north of La Plata 25-28.10 A few short Asia openings. (Too high proton flux) 29.10 NA, but heavy Aurora. 30.10 Fair NA conditions. Alaska signals fine. Geo storm. 31.10 West coast plus south east. Nothing in between. Geo storm. 1.11 I did probably miss a short DT opening at midnight as I was checking Spain. Superb west coast and west Canada signals. 2.11 Wider opening and lots of "Dixie" signals. West coast fine. 3.11 Excellent NC/GA/AL skip. Strange signals here and there for a while. VG WC reception later. 4.11 Same type of signals as the day before. SE + NW USA. Signals died in the afternoon as a new proton shock arrived. 5.11 "Dead air". I did not even bother listen. Going home. See bottom of this page.
PAX11 011001-011014 PAX11 Log. Two weeks with a constant high proton flux level. Nothing from North America.
PAX10 010916-011001 PAX10 Log. Antenna work week with a little listening.
