BOS at home QTH log

October 2006

October did not match September.
I have become owner of a SDR-14 receiver and I'm still testing it but it looks and sounds
perfect.  It is impossible to check everything that has been recorded but it is very easy to
skip long parts over periods when nothing has been heard on most of the frequencies just
by looking at the waterfall view for a few seconds now and then over the recorded time period.
October 6 and 7 gave a few nice signals.  Probably even better conditions some of the days I did not check at all. Only short recordings made a few mornings but almost no active listening.
Good signals from western USA despite my lack of antenna that way! This was heard
on a wire pointing more to Minnesota / Iowa. What had been heard on a west coast wire?
